Part 21 Design Engineer

Design-21 Projects, a subsidiary of 3Plex Group, provides high-quality aeronautical engineering solutions specialising in aircraft interior design and external livery modifications for airline operators and aircraft lessors.

We are seeking an ambitious, driven, and highly motivated Part 21 Design Engineer to join our growing team and embark on an exciting career in cabin design and exterior modification projects.

The successful candidate will join a young, professional, and dynamic team dedicated to delivering innovative, compliant, and high-quality cabin design solutions to a diverse portfolio of airline operators and leasing companies.

Key Responsibilities

As a Part 21 Design Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing and reviewing design and certification documentation

  • Supporting project delivery, including the preparation of customer quotations

  • Monitoring and assessing industry developments and regulatory changes

  • Verifying design compliance with applicable airworthiness requirements and Certification Specifications

  • Implementing preventive and corrective actions in response to audit findings

  • Supporting design project management activities and coordinating technical meetings

  • Liaising with maintenance and production organisations

  • Communicating with customers regarding design requirements, delivery schedules, and technical queries

  • Liaising with the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and/or designated National Aviation Authorities (NAA)

Skills and Experience
  • Proven knowledge of EASA Part 21 requirements

  • Strong understanding of applicable Certification Specifications

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Design Engineering environment

  • Experience in aircraft interior cabin design and external livery projects

  • Proficiency in MS Office applications and CAD tools such as AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks

  • Strong communication, presentation, and project management skills

  • Creative, innovative mindset with a high level of attention to detail

  • Demonstrated integrity and commitment to the highest safety and quality standards

  • In-depth knowledge of EASA design standards is considered a strong asset

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Avionics Engineering or Aerospace/Aeronautical Engineering
