AMA Aviation Maintenance Academy – Call for Part-Time Aircraft Maintenance Instructors, Part-147

Aviation Maintenance Academy (AMA), part of the 3Plex Group, is an EASA-approved Aircraft Maintenance Training Organisation based in Malta. As a leading provider of aviation training services, AMA is expanding its team and is seeking experienced Part-Time Aircraft Maintenance Training Instructors (Part-147) to support its growing training activities.

This opportunity is ideal for licensed engineers, aviation professionals, and experienced trainers who wish to share their expertise on a flexible, part-time basis while contributing to the development of the next generation of aircraft maintenance personnel.

Job Purpose

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering approved aircraft maintenance training courses and ensuring that all training is conducted to the highest standards of quality, accuracy, and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities include:

• Delivering theoretical and practical training on approved aircraft maintenance courseware.
• Preparing, developing, and updating training materials, presentations, examinations, and assessments.
• Supporting the continuous improvement of training programmes and course content.
• Assessing learner performance and providing constructive feedback.
• Utilising a variety of instructional tools and methodologies, including multimedia presentations, aircraft components, practical demonstrations, virtual learning platforms, and online delivery methods.
• Ensuring training activities comply with applicable EASA Part-147 requirements and internal quality standards.

The Role Requires

• Experience in aircraft maintenance and/or aircraft maintenance training.
• Strong instructional and presentation skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Good organisational and planning skills.
• A positive, proactive, and professional attitude.
• Strong written and spoken English language skills.
• The ability to deliver aviation technical content accurately and effectively.
• Previous instructional or training experience will be considered an asset.
• Proficiency in computer applications used for developing, revising, and delivering training materials and presentations.
• Availability to deliver training on a flexible, part-time basis, including occasional evening or weekend sessions when required.

Applications Are Invited from Candidates Who Meet One of the Following Criteria

• Hold a valid EASA Part-66 Category B1 Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Licence with aircraft type endorsements; or
• Hold a valid EASA Part-66 Category B2 Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Licence with aircraft type endorsements; or
• Possess a minimum of three years’ experience in aircraft maintenance instruction within a Part-145 or Part-147 organisation and have delivered aircraft type training to at least ATA 104 Level III standard.

In addition, candidates must:

• Demonstrate an acceptable level of English language proficiency, including the ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
