Junior Safety Officer

3Plex Group is a well‑established Malta‑based group of companies providing EASA Part CAMO, Part 21 Design, Part 145, and Part 147 Training services to a diverse portfolio of aviation organisations worldwide.

As we continue to grow and support our customers through our experienced and dedicated team, we are seeking to recruit a highly motivated and proactive Junior Safety Officer on a full‑time basis.

The Safety Officer shall support the Compliance and Safety Manager in the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the Company’s Safety Management System (SMS), ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and promoting a strong safety culture within the organisation.

The Safety Manager and Deputy Compliance Monitoring Manager will serve as the central point of contact for the development, oversight, and continual improvement of the organisation’s Safety and Compliance Management System. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on experience and strong expertise in applying aviation safety standards and safe operational practices. In this role, the selected individual will also be responsible for monitoring and assessing the effectiveness of the compliance system through audits, inspections, and ongoing collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring the highest levels of safety and operational excellence are maintained.

Key Responsibilities:

Safety Management System Support

  • Assist in the implementation and maintenance of the Company’s Safety Management System (SMS) in accordance with EASA, TMCAD, and other applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Support hazard identification, risk assessments, and risk mitigation processes.
  • Assist in maintaining and updating the safety risk register and safety action plans.

Safety Reporting & Investigations

  • Support the administration of the safety reporting system, including occurrence reporting and internal reporting mechanisms.
  • Assist in the investigation of occurrences, incidents, and hazards under the supervision of the Compliance and Safety Manager.
  • Ensure safety reports are logged, tracked, and followed up promptly.

Monitoring & Performance

  • Assist in monitoring safety performance indicators and safety objectives.
  • Support the tracking and follow-up of safety actions to ensure timely implementation of mitigation measures.
  • Contribute to the preparation of safety reports and performance summaries for management review.

Audits & Compliance Support

  • Assist in internal safety audits and inspections as required.
  • Support the Compliance Monitoring function where safety-related risks or findings arise.
  • Maintain accurate records of safety audits, findings, and corrective actions.

Documentation & Administration

  • Maintain safety management documentation, records, and reports in an accurate and organised manner.
  • Assist in ensuring all safety procedures and manuals are up to date and aligned with regulatory requirements.
  • Support document control processes related to safety documentation.

Training & Safety Culture

  • Support the coordination and delivery of safety training and awareness initiatives.
  • Promote a proactive safety culture within the organisation.
  • Assist in ensuring employees are aware of safety procedures, reporting systems, and responsibilities.

General Responsibilities

  • Provide support and advice to staff on basic safety-related matters.
  • Liaise with operational departments to ensure safety considerations are integrated into daily activities.
  • Carry out additional duties as reasonably assigned by the Compliance and Safety Manager.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in an aviation safety-related role 
  • Experience in Compliance Monitoring will be considered an advantage.
  • Basic understanding of:
    • Safety Management Systems (SMS)
    • EASA / aviation regulatory framework (desirable)
  • Strong organisational and analytical skills
  • Good communication and reporting skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team and take direction
